NOMINATE SARA COLLINS FOR CARIBBEAN FASHION AWARDS

NOMINATE SARA COLLINS FOR CARIBBEAN FASHION AWARDS

http://www.cfstyle.com/blog/fashionawardform.php ---voting ends JANUARY 31th at MIDNIGHT!!

As featured in my Bajan Supermodels post, Sara Collins has made significant contribution to the fashion industry on many levels. Nominate Barbadian supermodel Sara Collins for the 'Caribbean Female Model (runway and photo)'. Sara has always backed Barbados 100% and continues to do so . She was one of the first caucasian models to step up and show that we are multi-cultural and very mixed as a Caribbean nation.

I think this is an opportune to nominate Sara who has done a tremendous amount for the model industry in Barbados. Although the news only reaches her friends, Sara has in fact continuously worked in the fashion industry since she left the country - even through the year she did her MA in London promoting Barbados all the while.

She continues to do this in Germany and throughout the rest of Europe. During her time in Barbados, she was the first caucasian to make it to the top, and never did she not stop and help any of her model colleagues along the way setting a standard not only in her quest for excellence but also in financial gain for all. All you have to do is put in Sara Collins in the Model of the Year and Photo Model of the Year section. The form is easy to fill in and will not take a minute of your time to send off to caribbeanfashionawards@gmail.com

Here are just a few of Sara's accomplishments:

-The 2006/2007 and 2008/2009 face for the German exclusive boutique “Steffi’s Fashion House” (nation wide print ads, life-size banners, client mailing cards, in-house VIP fashion shows, model spokesperson) modelling designers such as Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Missoni, Jil Sander, Gianfranco Ferre, Christian Lacroix, and Burberry

-Barbados Fashion Week

All worried VOGUE readers!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry fashion followers, Anna Wintour's publicist has rsponded to rumors of the replacement of the legendary editor-in-chief, stating that it is a total and complete fabricated LIE!!!! (yes yes, i know that it's also possible that HE himself could possibly not be telling the truth..however we have to take his word for it).

Carine Roitfeld (French VOGUE editor-in-chief) and Aliona Doletskaya (russian VOGUE editor-in-chief) were stated as Wintour's possible successors.

Anyways, I think Wintour has TOTALLY revolutionized the VOGUE and has made significant contributions to fashion on a global scale. Anna Wintour is a living legend and fashion icon, and we don't have many of those walking around. I just hope one day to be privileged enough to be in her presence.

For more info on the Anna Wintour 'rumor' please go to

Thanks peoples ;)

Yours fashionably,
Dre DeCarlo.
